Blow flies

Blow flies are metallic green or blue flies that lay their eggs on meat (hence get their name from meat blown by flies). Also sometimes lays eggs on wounds causing myiasis (infection by maggots). They serve as excellent decomposers of dead animal mass which may house several diseases.
